Tap and Clap With Senior Moments Dance

The group dances each Tuesday and Thursday at 11:45 a.m.

It's just after noon on Thursday at the Marblehead Senior Center and Debbie Davis leads the dance line of ladies in spins, claps and toe taps.

They perform the maxi Ford, the paddle and roll and other moves to the song Shame. The song, with its beat, would have gone over well on the hit television dance shows from days of yore: Soul Train or American Bandstand.

The Marblehead dancers are a group called Senior Moments and they practice at 11:45 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at the Center, 10 Humphrey Street.

About a dozen ladies from the beginner level on up move their bodies to the music, practicing routines and enjoying their time together.

For information on how to take part call the Council on Aging coordinator at 781 631-6225.

The cost is $6 per practice.
