Jessica Prouty + 100 Kids = Rock 'n' Roll Chicken
Music was in the air at Gatchells Park on Tuesday.
Many hands turned out Rock 'n' Roll Chicken.
The Jessica Prouty Band dropped by Gatchells Park Tuesday afternoon for a music workshop including songwriting.
About 100 kids were there with the Marblehead Recreation and Parks summer playground program.
They learned just about anything can help write a song. A tune you hum begs for words. Words you hear, say or think beg for music.
Together the kids and troubadours including Jessica and Cody Nilsen on guitar wrote Rock 'n' Roll Chicken. Here it is on the accompanying video.
Later people got to hear Jessica and her bandmates give a free concert at Devereux Beach.
