Artsbridge: Making a Difference Through Art
Reception: Wednesday, August 10th, 5-7PM
Artsbridge is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a safe environment for Palestinian and Israeli teens, and fostering understanding, curiosity, creativity, and leadership. Using the power of art and conversation, Artsbridge empowers students to become leaders in connecting their communities.
On August 10, the Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA will host high school students from Jerusalem who participated in the Artsbridge program.

When they return home, students continue their Artsbridge experiences in five satellite programs at established community organizations, where they serve as mentors to a new group of students. There are three Israeli organizations: Neve Shalom-Wahat al Salam, Beit Hagefen in Haifa, and the International YMCA in Jerusalem. There are two Palestinian organizations: The Palestinian Peace Coalition in Ramallah, and the Hope Flowers School in Bethlehem.
The beautiful art created by these students will be displayed for all in the lobby; everyone is welcome to come and learn more about this collaboration!
