Strong gusty winds on Saturday afternoon and evening could down small limbs and branches and knock out power, warns the National Weather Service.
A wind advisory, issued at 4 a.m. on Saturday, is for eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island and runs from 4-11 p.m. on Saturday.
Winds will blow at 20-30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour late Saturday afternoon and into the evening.
"Small tree limbs and branches may be brought down,” the advisory said. “Isolated power outages are possible and driving could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.”
The advisory was issued, the weather service said, because wind gusts greater than 46 mph are expected.
"Winds this strong are capable of downing small tree limbs and branches, possibly causing isolated power outages,” the weather service said.
