Flash Flood Watch in Effect Until Thursday Afternoon

Here are your Five Things to Know Today:

1. Weather Watch: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Patchy fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 78. Southwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light south. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

2. Flash Flood Watch in Effect Until Thursday Afternoon: The expected rain, combined with a cold front and saturated ground conditions have led the National Weather Service to declare Marblehead part of a flash flood watch area through Thursday afternoon.

3. Conservation Commission Take Up Peter Noyes Matter: On Thursday night, the Conservation Commission's agenda includes discussion of ways to collect fines in Noyes v. Town of Marblehead. 4. Dive-in Movie at the JCC: I really love this idea — the JCC is showing "Finding Nemo" at the pool on Thursday at 6 p.m.
