Looking to buy flowers or a plant for Mother's Day and want to shop local?

Marblehead's Driftwod Garden Club is hosting a plant sale this Saturday, May 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Masonic Hall, 62 Pleasant Street.

The sale will feature perennials, annuals, ground covers, herbs, and other beautiful plants, many from local gardens. Orchids, trilliums, and other flowering plants - everything you'll need for the perfect gift for Mother's Day. Free wrapping is available for all gift plants.

Need help with what might work well in your garden? Garden club members will be on hand to serve as personal shoppers, working with customers to help select plants for those problem areas in the garden, be they too shady, too sunny, too dry or too wet.

New this year are demonstrations - offered at 9:30 and 11:00 - on creating eye catching window boxes and planters.

The Driftwood Garden Club is an all-volunteer-run organization that manages and cares for the gardens at the Abbot Public Library. Profits from the sale are used to maintain and improve the library gardens.

This plant sale offers so much more than local perennials. There is a wide selection of annuals (many in full bloom), herbs, tomato plants, topiaries, beautiful orchids, small herb gardens in fun containers, shrubs, and more! Stop by to get a dose of springtime and summer color!
