The Marblehead Garden Club founded in 1927, will hold its 83rd Annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 10th, 2014. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at The Gerry 5 VFA, 210 Beacon Street, in Marblehead. The Plant Sale is the oldest, continuously running plant sale in Marblehead.
Plants from the Jeremiah Lee Mansion’s gardens as well as those from members’ gardens will be available. Selections include wildflowers, perennials, annuals, herbs, rock garden plants and ground cover plants. Garden Club members are on hand to answer questions and provide gardening tips. Admission to the plant sale is free of charge. The Gerry 5 VFA is handicapped accessible.

Proceeds of the plant sale assist in the cost of maintaining the organic gardens at the historic Jeremiah Lee Mansion. The Lee Mansion is operated by the Marblehead Museum and Historical Society. The Marblehead Garden Club and the Museum and Historical Society have worked cooperatively since 1936. You may contact the Historical Society at 781-631-1768 for hours of operation.
