Shellfish in Salem Sound

Did you know that there are soft-shell clams, quahogs, razor clams and more in Salem Sound? Join Salem Sound Coastwatch and the Abbot Public Library for an illustrated presentation by Barbara Warren, Executive Director of Salem Sound Coastwatch on "Shellfish, Shellfish Everywhere and not a Clam to Eat!" Barbara will talk about the state of the shellfish beds in Salem Sound, the important ecological functions they provide, and what we can expect in the future.  She will also share preliminary results of a quahog study at Riverhead Beach.

7pm at the Abbot Library, 235 Pleasant St. Free and open to the public. Co-sponsored by Salem Sound Coastwatch and the Abbot Public Library.
