Boston Children's Theatre Seeks Woodstock Festival Attendees!

Did you attend Woodstock?  How would you describe the era?  The atmosphere?  The people?  Boston Children’s Theatre (BCT) invites Woodstock attendees to share their stories with the cast of BCT’s upcoming production of HAIR.  HAIR will be performed by 30 local actors between the ages of 14 and 19 on August 9, 10 and 11 at The Governor’s Academy in Byfield, MA.

“Realism is key to this production,” explained HAIR Director and BCT Exectuive Artistic Director Burgess Clark. “We thought it would be terrific for people who lived through the ultimate 1960’s experience to share their memories with our cast.  There are so many parallels between our generation and the generation who experienced Woodstock.  It would be such an enriching exercise to bring them together.”

BCT is inviting Woodstock attendees to visit BCT’s Summer Studios 4 program at The Governor’s Academy to speak with students and attend a production of HAIR.  Anyone interested in learning more should e-mail producer@bostonchildrenstheatre.org.
