Boston Red Sox Strong

The world has changed a lot in forty years. The Red Sox went through the 50s and 60s with one slugger, Ted Willaims and then Carl Yastrzemski. Sure, Yaz had the Conigliaros of Swampscott to help him, but the team was also-ran because there was no pitching. Then came 1967, and Jim Lonborg. With the outstanding pitching of the man, the Bosox made it to the world series. Since then the team has had more than their share of world series teams. This year, there was phenomenal pitching with Jon Lester showing an ERA of 1.56 during the postseason.
