Rededication Ceremony Thursday at Newly Surfaced Piper Field
Noteworthy items including Marblehead college student recognition, selectmen's meeting announcement and the tide chart.
1. Piper Field Notes: On Thursday, Sept. 12, at 6:45 pm a rededication ceremony will take place at Piper Field, before the football team's home opener against Lynn Classical. The field was recently resurfaced with artificial turf. The field hockey team is scheduled to play on the turf Wednesday at 5 p.m. vs Gloucester. On Thursday at 3:30 p.m., the boys soccer team takes on rival Swampscott on the artificial turf.

Wednesday's forecast calls for a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. Patchy fog before 9 am.

5. Town Notes:
Selectmen meet Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Abbot Hall. Among the agenda items is a FEMA grant for a boat.
