Halloween Party at Abbot Library Wednesday Morning

Noteworthies for today.

1. Halloween Party Notes:

On Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 10:15 a.m., young children are invited to come to the Abbot Public Library in costume to the library's Halloween party with an indoor parade. The library is planning to have Miss Alyisha read spooky stories (not too spooky), party refreshments, and a parade inside the library with stops to "Trick or Treat." 

2. Weather Watch: 

Wednesday's forecast calls for a chance of rain mainly after 11 a.m., with a high temperature of 49 degrees.

3.) School Notes:

The annual Freshman Class Picnic was postponed until Oct. 25.

4.) Breast Cancer Awareness:

On Wednesday, at 6:30 p.m. at Warwick Place, 123 Pleasant St., Marblehead, see a documentary on the reality of breast cancer and what people are doing to end the epidemic.

5.) Academic Notes:

Meghan Smith of Marblehead, MA, has been admitted to Carleton College as a member of the Class of 2017. She is the daughter of Scott Smith and Karen Smith. Smith is a graduate of Commonwealth School.
