patching...
Welcome back, Patch Blogger!
The photo above, taken by Marblehead Patch photographer Susan Berman on a walk across town Wednesday, is our pick for Photo of the Week. The image shows the walkway leading up to Maddie's Sail Loft in the shine of a motorcycle parked on State Street. This was just one of many photos included in Berman's Viewfinder entitled "August Arrives in Marblehead." Think you have a photograph that would be perfect for next week's Photo of the Week? Send it along to owen.boss@patch.com.
This week's photo of the week was sent in by Marblehead Patch reader Don Rothenberg. The above photo offers a beautiful look at a moonlit Marblehead Harbor on a warm summer night. Thank you to Don Rothenberg for sending along the photo and we look forward to more reader submissions in the future.
This week's photo of the week was sent in by Diane Knopf, Director of Development at Marblehead's Cohen Hillel Academy. Shown in the photo is Amanda Saxe, a fourth grade student at Cohen Hillel Academy, daughter of Jody and Richard Saxe of Marblehead, who recently donated 8 inches of her hair to the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Organization. Amanda's hair will be used to make wigs for children with illnesses that have caused them to lose their own hair. We thought it was a brave sacrifice and was worthy of this week's Photo of the Week.
This member of Glover's Marblehead Regiment stopped and returned a text on his smart phone during a ceremony honoring Revolutionary War General John Glover Saturday evening at Fort Sewall. The combination of modern technology and Colonial-era garb was too good for us to pass up. Have a photo you've seen us post that you think is perfect for next week's column? Let us know!
