Friday's Painting the Town event started off with a breakfast for participating artists before they set off for their designated sites to paint Marblehead as it appears today. They were all out to "plein-aire" paint, a method of outdoor painting meant to allow the artist to capture nature and life in a different light than that provided in a studio setting. All of the artists participating in Friday's event were either Marblehead residents or Marblehead Arts Association members. Painting the Town was not a juried event, but culminated with an awards ceremony at King Hooper Mansion on Saturday…
