The air is feeling crisper, school is back in session and before you know it Marblehead will be in the throws of autumn. The Marblehead Fire and Police Departments joined departments across the country in conducting a remembrance ceremony Tuesday morning at Memorial Park to commemorate the eleven-year anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks and the subsequent losses suffered at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania. The ceremony, which drew a crowd of town residents, was part of a nationwide salute to fallen firefighters, police officers and civilians, and to the extraordinary response to tragic events that have changed all of our lives.
