Where Are Marblehead's Most Ignored Stop Signs?

Stop signs are not optional, but they're sometimes treated as if they are.

There are hundreds of stop signs in Marblehead, but all too often, they are overlooked when drivers are in a rush.

We have all seen it and probably many would admit to a stop sign roll-through at one point in time.

Do you know of a location where a stop sign is frequently rolled through or ignored?

Share where it is in the comments section, below.

The red light (safe to walk across??) at School and Pleasant is habitually violated (e.g.run through) and never see any citations issued in the Police log.

Miles Standish Road and Londonderry Road. Many roll right through any of the 4-way stop sign intersection.

I was going to say the same as Linda-Pond and Green and Creesy and Green....when I walk my dog sometimes I stand on the Green Creesy corner and in 15 minutes NOT one car stops at that sign!!!

Stop signs that are routinely ignored without an increase in accidents imply that the signs are not necessary.

How about a new question: "Where are the most useless stop signs located?"

Five Corners is horrendous.... also the stop sign at the intersection of School and Sewall streets. But there are many others!!!! People don't seem to understand the meaning of coming to a full stop- or the fact that if you weren't there first, you do not have the right of way!!!!

The stop sign at the end of Village Street--crossing Vine St and merging onto Pleasant St is the worst in town. Most people don't stop--and don't slow down at all. It's a school zone too!
