What Town Meeting Warrant Article Are You Most Interested In (Or Appalled By)?
Town Meeting will be here before you know it. Have you taken a look at this year's warrant?
Town Meeting is just around the corner. Before the town meets May 6 to make decisions on this year's agenda, we're wondering which warrant articles residents are most interested in.
If you haven't had a look at the warrant yet, you can download a copy via this link. There's also a PDF version attached to this story.
The $2.1 million override for repairs to Abbot Hall's clock tower is likely the single biggest issue up this year. But that's not all.
There are also potential overrides for improving technology in the Marblehead Public Schools and for the former landfill.
And the leaf blower ban is back, despite being narrowly defeated last time. Other warrant articles would regulate dogs and signs, give a raise to the Town Clerk and change cemetery bylaws.
So what are the warrant articles you'll be most interested in this year? Where do you stand? The comments section below is a great place to start winning your fellow Headers over to your point of view. (Or begin alienating potential supporters, right?)
