At 12:15 p.m. Saturday, the roar of planes filled the air over Crocker Park for the crowd that gathered to see the flyby.

As part of the Marine Aviation Centennial, World War II planes did a flyby over the harbor and around Marblehead.

The planes, a Corsair, a Marine fighter of World War II followed by four T-28’s (with roaring 2000 horse power engines) were planes that trained thousands of Marine pilots.
