Terry's to Re-Open In Town, 5CK To Expand

Terry's Ice Cream owner Carlos Rocha said he was "forced from the building" and will be reopening "very close" to his former location on School Street.

5 Corners Kitchen will be expanding into the space formerly occupied by Terry's Ice Cream Shop and the ice cream parlor's owner is letting residents know he plans on reopening in town.

Both businesses were forced to close their doors after an electrical fire in July left the interior of the building with extensive water and smoke damage.

Rocha said he will be able to announce next week where he will be reopening.

Five Corners Kitchen will be expanding their dining room, building a larger bar area and adding additional seating to their space but management says the feel diners have come to love about the restaurant will remain.

Terry's owner Carlos Rocha said he decided not to say anything while his lawyers were looking into a dispute he was having with the neighboring business regarding a space issue.

"For the last 8 months I have been working really hard to get back open and I was forced to leave the building because of a problem over space, and that's all I'm going to say," Rocha said Friday morning. "I just want people to know I will be coming back to town. We will be reopening and it will be somewhere very close to where we were."

I herd there is a store front open next to Hungry Betty's.
Bet that would be a great location for an ice cream shoppe.
