Snowfall Expected Overnight

Marblehead is expected to get between 1 and 2 inches of snow tonight.

Just one year ago, the news that Marblehead would be getting between one and two inches of snow overnight wouldn't be worth mentioning. But in a winter that has been unseasonably warm and almost snow-free, we felt it was worth the post.

The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect steady snow showers tonight, beginning around 6 p.m. The overnight low should be around 28 and total accumulation could approach two inches.

The snow is expected to carry over into early tomorrow morning, which should be breezy and cold. Otherwise, tomorrow should be sunny with a high temperature around 34 degrees.

Though this isn't exactly a blizzard, local weather experts are predicting that we may be in for some more snow on Saturday. Sunday is execpted to bring a wintry mix of snow, sleet and rain.
