POLL: Should Marblehead Implement a Blue Light System?
Marblehead's winter parking ban is set to begin on Nov. 26.
At their meeting at Abbot Hall last week, the Board of Selectmen announce that tickets, not warnings, will be issued to offending vehicles on the first night of this year's on-street winter parking ban.
The news that vehicles parked on the street overnight on Nov. 26 would be ticketed by local police officers stimulated quite the discussion among our readers, so we have to ask: do you support the winter parking ban in Marblehead?
The winter parking ban will officially commence at 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 26 and continue until April 15. No parking will be allowed on any street for a period longer than one hour between the hours of midnight at 7 a.m.
As is the case every year, if a snow emergency should occur before Nov. 26, the Board of Selectmen can order that all cars removed from public ways.
