The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police Department's log:

Monday, Oct. 29:

• At 6:57 a.m., police responded to a Life Line activation on Pleasant Street.
• At 8:13 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Foster Street.
• At 8:26 a.m., police responded to an accidental 911 call from a home on Rowland Street.
• At 8:49 a.m., a resident on Lawrence Drive called police to report that the catch basin was full and water won't be able to drain.
• At 9:05 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Washington Street.
• At 10:27 a.m., police responded to a parking complaint at the intersection of Beacon Street and Crowninshield Road.
• At 10:28 a.m., police received word that a light blue, 25-foot sailboat had broken loose with its mast up and was heading away from the Village Street pier.
• At 10:29 a.m., police received word that a 13-foot whaler had broken loose in Marblehead Harbor.
• At 10:43 a.m., police conducted a building check on Harbor Avenue.
• At 11:14 a.m., police received word that a tree had come down in the parking lot at Crosby's Marketplace and it had damaged a trailer. 
• At 1:08 p.m., a group of people were moved off of the rocks and back from the wall on Surf Street. Yellow tape was put up to keep other people back during the storm.
• At 1:09 p.m., police responded to a report of people on a seawall on Atlantic Avenue.
• At 1:28 p.m., a found debit card was turned over to police.
• At 1:31 p.m., police received word that a group of kids were hanging around the floats on Village Street.
• At 1:32 p.m., police responded to a 911 call from a home on Lafayette Street.
• At 1:40 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Washington Street.
• At 1:52 p.m., police were alerted to a boat that had washed ashore on Nonatum Road.
• At 1:56 p.m., a Driftwood Road resident called police to report that a 40-foot sailboat had washed up in his yard.
• At 2:01 p.m., police responded to a report of a low-hanging wire on Ruby Avenue.
• At 2:11 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Ocean Avenue.
• At 2:30 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Pearl Street.
• At 2:42 p.m., police received word that a private dock had broken loose in Marblehead Harbor. 
• At 2:47 p.m., police responded to power lines down at the intersection of Front and Darling streets.
• At 2:47 p.m., police received word that a transformer sparked on Cowell Street.
• At 3:08 p.m., police were alerted to a wind-surfer in trouble in Marblehead Harbor. The man eventually moved along out of the water.
• At 3:12 p.m., police responded to a report of a tree and power lines down on Abbot Court.
• At 3:14 p.m., police responded to a report of power lines down on Gregory Street.
• At 3:16 p.m., police responded to an arcing wire at the intersection of Ocean and Nanepashemet Street.
• At 3:21 p.m., police responded to a tree down at the intersection of Colgate and Arlyn roads.
• At 3:23 p.m., police responded to a report of power lines down on Phillips Street.
• At 3:26 p.m., police received word that there was significant flooding at the intersection of West Shore Drive and Green Street.
• At 4:24 p.m., police received word that another sailboat had broken loose and was hung up on the rocks on Nonatum Road.
• At 4:35 p.m., police responded to a report of a hanging wire on Cloutman's Lane.
• At 5:03 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Community Road.
• At 5:11 p.m., police responded to a report of a wire down on Valley Road.
• At 5:12 p.m., police responded to a report of an arcing wire in a tree on Cherry Street.
• At 5:27 p.m., police responded to a report of wires down at the intersection of Point O Rocks Lane and Follett Street.
• At 5:32 p.m., police responded to a reported disturbance on Goodwins Court.
• At 5:46 p.m., police received word that the power was out on Jane Road.
• At 5:50 p.m., a Beacon Street woman called police to report that her private dock was about to break off.
• At 5:58 p.m., police responded to a report of two people out on Bass Rock.
• At 6:21 p.m., a local man called police to report that he had seen a surfer 20 minutes ago by Castle Rock having difficulty. The Fire Department and Habormaster reportedly used a thermal imager in an attempt to locate the surfer but didn't find anyone in the area.
• At 6:24 p.m., police responded to a report of a line down on Rowland Street.
• At 7:26 p.m., police responded to a branch hanging on a power line on Jackson Road.
• At 7:49 p.m., a transformer reportedly blew on Humphrey Street.
• At 8:13 p.m., police responded to a report of a blown transformer on Selman Street.
• At 9:11 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Washington Street.
• At 9:45 p.m., police responded to a report of debris in the road on Pleasant Street.
• At 10:52 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Willow Road.

Tuesday, Oct. 30:

• At 1:51 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Trager Road.
• At 3:45 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Front Street.
• At 6:24 a.m., the Water Department received word that a manhole cover had come off at the intersection of Humphrey and Maple streets.
