My observation has been that there has not been any law enforcement at the four most most dangerous intersections in town.....which include the aforementioned cross walk at Pleasant/Starbucks , the cross walk on 'walk light' at Pleasant and School, the cross walks at 5 corners and the stop sign at Pond and Green Streets.

Let me guess. Driver turning left off Essex Street, cell phone planted to side of face. My daughter and I were rear-ended many years ago by a young man in SUV and on cell phone, speed delta 50 mph. We survived without substantial injury, and nobody understands that. What I don't get is how irresponsible drivers in Massachusetts are. Despite no law preventing phone usage, texting, etc., how about acting responsibly and turning the phone off while you're driving. I'm not assuming the scenario I've described. I hope for all involved that there is a more intelligent, credible explanation for somebody being hurt. But still, just turn off the phone.
