Papa Ginos to Shoot Commercials in Marblehead Saturday

Selectmen approved the requests for filming commercials at the town dock and on Rose Avenue.

Two Marblehead spots will be filmed Saturday for Papa Ginos commercials.

On Friday Marblehead selectmen approved a request from the film production company Independent Media to film commercials at the town dock and at 10 Rose Avenue on Saturday morning.

The crew will have eight members and use either a tripod or handheld camera. The scenes at the public landing on State Street will include shots of the dock and a lobster boat, the request states.

The boat will be tied to the dock with a loaded bin of lobsters nearby, according to the request.

The film company has received permission from the homeowner at 10 Rose Ave. to shoot images of their lawn and driveway.

The crew will shoot the home from the sidewalk.

Papa Ginos commercial filming is going on in the Boston area this week.

Independent Media apologized for the quick turnaround in Marblehead, seeking permission Friday for a shoot on Saturday.
