What is going on at the high school recently? There seems to be a lot of violence, fighting, and now property destruction. Maybe they need to install metal detectors soon.

Metal Detectors? They should arrest the vandals and the group causing assaults on fellow students almost everyday from what I read. A few court fines to the Parents/ Guardians and school expulsions should help. This is a job for the POLICE not educators, Come on Chief lets get involved.....

Hoping the suggestion for metal detectors is sarcasm. I agree with Jackson. The teachers and administration are neither properly trained for nor are they paid enough to deal with criminal behavior. I suggest it's time to amp up the consequences for these thugs & their parents. The police log often leaves me wondering what the heck the police are actually doing to curb this nonsense. Is there ever any follow-through beyond a warning or chat with the parents?

The respect problem is that the offender goes to the nice clean station on Gerry street and mommy or daddy picks them up. I believe Marblehead does not have a youth holding facility, so they should be sent to such a facility for their safety. Let mom and find them there. Oh, and let them meet some other youths who live in abandon houses and have steal for food. Wow that would be respect.

All incidents seem to lead to Broughton Road, every incident has been on or a child from that road..unless I am reading the log incorrectly.

Have seen nothing but fights and calls to the school for violence, problems don't just go away. At some point the police need to step up efforts to end it. Protect the kids who don't want to be part of it from it. Gladiator school is what it is now, how about an education?
