Marblehead Schools Open With Two Hour Delay on Friday
The storm led Marblehead school officials to push back today's opening.
While some North Shore students are getting another snow day, in Marblehead you'll only be able to go back to sleep for a bit — or maybe help the family dig out before you head to school.
Marblehead Public Schools announced they will open on a two-hour delay, according to Patch news partners 7News.

Maybe I'm a weather wuss, but we've got a good foot plus on the ground here on Orchard St. Hard to think that we'll be able to dig out and get the kids off to school today.

Roads are terrible right now. Drop off and pick up will be a nightmare. Swampscott just cancelled. We should too.

I just went out to look at the road, even though it was plowed there's so much new accumulation that it's still pretty bad. Hope that Marblehead cancels, either way kids are staying home.

Just connect to WBZ and look at the schools in our area that are closed. If the town does the same job on the roads that they did for the blizzard, travel to/from school will be very hazardous.

I really don't think your choice of words calling them all a bunch of idiots is called for. They can only go with the forecast they are given. When all the local weather experts were calling for a couple inches of snow overnight and then it would turn to rain as soon as the sun came up, it made sense for a two hour delay. All your local weather experts on TV said this was a phenomenon they all had read about but never experienced. Let's just say no one wants the school year to run into July. If you knew Marblehead was going to get 14 inches of snow at 5 AM, next time let us all know. At 5 AM there wasn't but a few inches on the ground
