Man Reports Getting Virus from Porn

The following information was provided by the Marblehead Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police Department's log:

Wednesday, June 27:

  • At 7:31 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Widger Road.
  • At 7:39 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of West Shore Drive and Calumet Lane involving a 2004 Mitsubishi van.
  • At 9:26 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Fort Sewall Terrace.
  • At 9:47 a.m., police transported and elderly man to his home on Rowland Street.
  • At 10:02 a.m., police attempted to serve a summons on Washington Street.
  • At 10:50 a.m., a woman entered the police station to report that her business received a negative listing on Yelp! The commenter reportedly said they would be willing to "show her the way out of town."
  • At 11:35 a.m., a Crowninshield Road man called police to report that a "strange thing happened to him on the computer." The man said "someone gave him a link to a porn site and when he clicked on it and tried to download it the 'computer when whacko.'" The man said he received a message that came up as an FBI warning that he had been given a $100 fine. Police told the man it was likely a virus.
  • At 11:57 a.m., a local resident entered the police station to report ongoing harassment.
  • At 1:08 p.m., a Waldron Court resident called police to report finding some .45 caliber bullets while moving. The bullets were collected by police.
  • At 1:33 p.m., a local resident entered the police station to report "derogatory and racist" graffiti on a private fence on Bubier Road. Police found that the writing was in chalk.
  • At 2:46 p.m., police responded to a report of a found woman's purse on Pitman Road.
  • At 4:58 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Franklin Street.
  • At 6:25 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Atlantic Avenue.
  • At 7:31 p.m., police responded to a report of a drunk man in his 50's stumbling up the street, holding onto trees for balance, and vomiting in front of a home on Mohawk Road. The man was taken by ambulance to Salem Hospital.
  • At 8:13 p.m., police responded to a report of kids playing in the construction area on Fieldbrook Road.
  • At 11:03 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Tedesco Street.
  • At 11:50 p.m., a Powder House Court resident called police to report "four pop like shots from an air soft gun" outside her house.  

Thursday, June 28:

  • At 12:06 a.m., police responded to a report of two men on Clifton Avenue who were "jamming beer bottles" in their yard.
  • At 2:31 a.m., police responded to a report of a loud group on Hawkes Street.
