Lynn Man Arrested for Indecent Assault on a Child in front of Marblehead CVS
A Lynn man was arrested Sunday night for allegedly trying to grab a young girl in front of CVS on Atlantic Avenue.
A Lynn man was arrested outside of CVS Sunday night and held on $10,000 cash bail after allegedly trying to grab a young girl.
James A. Murphy, 29, of 47 Lexington St., Lynn, was arrested on a charge of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. He is expected to be arraigned in Lynn District Court Tuesday morning.
According to this morning's police log, at 7:21 p.m., all available police units responded to CVS on Atlantic Avenue after receiving a report that a heavyset drunk man had tried to grab a young girl at the store.
After police were called to the scene, the girl and her mother reportedly waited inside of CVS with store employees so that police could interview them and Murphy was placed under arrest.
Murphy was reportedly transported to Middleton Jail to await arraignment.
His bail was set at $10,000 cash.
