  • At 6:54 p.m., firefighters responded to Farrell Court after it was reported that a tenant could "smell something burning downstairs but couldn't raise anyone." The source of the smoke was later discovered to be burnt food.
  • At 9:11 p.m., Jennifer E. DiGiammarino, 45, of 1 Haley Road, Marblehead, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

I have witnessed a LOT of people failing to stop for crossing guards,
That particular spot is dangerous because you have cars coming at you in 4 directions at once, Just need to open your eyes a bit and pay more attention, It's getting cold out, streets are going to get slick....

I agree with you Ray. If you are driving and the car in front of you stops at a crosswork, they are stopping because someone is attempting to cross. Do not try and drive around them. I can't count how many times I have seen this.

Give the crossing guard a tack strip to throw down when this happens. Four blown tires might slow them down!

my mom is a crossing guard in Marblehead at the cross walk near Mohawk street and unfortunately she has people go straight in front of her too. once while she was crossing me and my friend a car almost hit us. So please if you are reading this just stop when a crossing guard has a stop sign. They are just trying to make the world a little more safe and I would hate to see my mom or any other crossing guard get hurt!!
