Local Woman Arrested for Assault & Battery

A Pleasant Street woman has been charged with assault and battery and malicious destruction of property.

A local woman accused of breaking down the front door to her Pleasant Street apartment and attacking her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend denied charges in court Monday afternoon.

Alycia Falvey, 20, of 78 Pleasant St., pleaded not guilty in Lynn District Court to charges of assault and battery, domestic assault and battery, larceny under $250 and two counts of malicious destruction of property valued above $250.

At approximately 11 a.m. Saturday, local police officers responded to a reported domestic assault on Pleasant Street. When they arrived on scene, the alleged victim reportedly told police that Falvey, his ex-girlfriend, had knocked down the front door to their apartment and attacked him and another woman inside.

A coffee table and cell phone were reportedly broken during the fight and the female victim's wallet went missing.

Falvey reportedly told police she broke into the apartment after finding that her ex-boyfriend had installed a dead-bolt on their front door. She and the alleged victim reportedly split rent on the apartment, he said they broke up about a month ago, according to court documents.

A judge ordered her released on her own recognizance and scheduled Falvey to return to court next month for a pretrial hearing.
