License Awarded to Haley's Market Cafe
The future co-owner of Haley's Market Cafe was awarded a common victualler's license Wednesday night.
The Board of Selectmen unanimously approved awarding a common victualler's license to Haley's Wine & Spirits co-owner Julie Vinette at Abbot Hall Wednesday night, paving the way for a new cafe in downtown Marblehead.
"We're going to be doing a little bit more complicated food," Vinette said Wednesday night. "We'll certainly be doing breakfast, lunch and a dinner a couple of nights a week."
Foodies Feast fans that have been calling for their old favorites can rest easy, Vinnette said, assuring that "coffee, scones and all the usual suspects will be back."
In addition to new state-of-the-art lights and Wi-Fi, Vinette told board members that "there will be a lot more seating in the cafe side than there was before."
A feature she said was aimed at maintaining "a cozy atmosphere."
