Is your family ready for the next Hurricane Sandy in Marblehead?

That will be the question Monday night, when the Marblehead League of Women Voters hosts a public forum on natural disaster preparedness entitled Hurricane Sandy: Are You Prepared? at Marblehead High School. 

The forum, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the school's library, will feature a discussion about measures local residents can take to be better-prepared for natural disasters.

Topics covered will include the health risks after disasters, special advice for local seniors, the role of Red Cross and MEMA and public safety tips, according to release.

Town Planner Becky Curran, Marblehead Emergency Management Coordinator Chuck Cerrutti, Fire Chief Jason Gilliland, Police Chief Bob Picariello, Jay Anderson of the Marblehead Municipal Light Department, Harbormaster Webb Russell and Health Director Andrew Petty will be on hand.
