SUV Slams Tree on Humphrey Street

A motorist was taken to the hospital shortly after 4 p.m. after his SUV slammed into a tree on Humphrey Street.

 

Local police and firefighters responded to an accident on Humphrey Street shortly after 4 p.m. that sent one man to the hospital.

The accident forced police to re-route traffic around Humphrey Street while the scene was cleared.

A man, believed to be the driver, was loaded into the back of a waiting ambulance and taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the accident.

Although no information has yet been released by police, it appeared that a silver Chevy Blazer struck a tree outside of 176 Humphrey St. Firefighters on scene were cleaning up gasoline leaking from the vehicle.
