Beverly Man Charged With Possessing Suboxone

Analdo Gonzalez was also issued a citaiton for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Police charged a Beverly man with possession of a Class B substance, Suboxone, Thursday after a traffic stop on Pleasant Street.

As a result of the stop, at 1:15 p.m., Analdo Gonzalez, 50, of 20 Blaine Ave., Apt. 4, Beverly, was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license, according to court records.

Police searched him and found a metal container in his front pocket with several ground and broken pills that were later determined to be Suboxone, police said.

The officer asked Gonzalez if he had a prescription for the pills, and he replied that they were old — from a detox clinic he had attended a while ago.

Gonzalez was released on personal recognizance bail at his arraignment Friday in Lynn District Court, the record states.

He is scheduled for a pretrial hearing at Lynn District on Sept. 20.
