Beverly Man Charged With Possessing Suboxone

Police charged a Beverly man with possession of a Class B substance, Suboxone, Thursday after a traffic stop on Pleasant Street.
As a result of the stop, at 1:15 p.m., Analdo Gonzalez, 50, of 20 Blaine Ave., Apt. 4, Beverly, was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license, according to court records.
Police searched him and found a metal container in his front pocket with several ground and broken pills that were later determined to be Suboxone, police said.
The officer asked Gonzalez if he had a prescription for the pills, and he replied that they were old — from a detox clinic he had attended a while ago.
Gonzalez was released on personal recognizance bail at his arraignment Friday in Lynn District Court, the record states.
He is scheduled for a pretrial hearing at Lynn District on Sept. 20.
