Armed Robbery at Beach Bluff Liquors

Local and state police are searching for a suspected armed robber.

State police and officers from two local departments searched the area Thursday night for a suspected armed robber who held up Beach Bluff Liquors.

By 6:30 p.m., Marblehead, Swampscott and state police cruisers lined Humphrey Street and a handful of officers were huddled around a radio listening to reports from other units.

A state police K9 unit was called to the scene.

According to scanner reports, the suspect was described as a male in his 20's, with a beard, who reportedly robbed the store at knifepoint.

Marblehead Patch will be posting additional information as it becomes available.
