It will be cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 70. Tonight should be mostly clear, with a low around 51. (sunrise, 6:28 a.m.; low tide, 7:54 a.m.; high tide, 2:07 p.m.; sunset, 6:45 p.m.)
2. At their meeting Tuesday night, members of the Recreation and Parks Commission unanimously endorsed the Marblehead All-Sports Foundation's efforts to get a synthetic turf field at Marblehead High School before the 2013 fall sports season. Click Here to read the full story.

5. Today in History: On Sept. 19, 1676, Jamestown was burned to the ground by the forces of Nathaniel Bacon during what would later come to be called Bacon's Rebellion.
