1. It should be another beautiful day in Marblehead. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect it to be sunny, with a high near 65. 3. Can you spell sylloge? After an incredible run, Marblehead's own Amber Born's competitive journey through the English vocabulary ended Thursday at the SCRIPPS National Spelling Bee. 4. Marblehead High School's girls' varsity tennis team will take on Wakefield this afternoon in the first round of the state playoffs. The matches are scheduled to begin at the high school at 3 p.m., so consider stopping by to cheer them on!

5. Today in History: On June 1, 1812, U.S. President James Madison asked Congress to declare war on the United Kingdom.
