Today is Thursday, Feb. 9, and here are the five things you need to know:
1. It should be another pleasant winter day in Marblehead. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect it to be sunny, with a high near 39. 2. At a Board of Selectmen's meeting at Abbot Hall Wednesday night, members unanimously approved a motion granting Hungry Betty's Bar and Grille owner Patty Johnson permission to serve alcoholic beverages at a small outdoor seating area outside her restaurant.
3. The Open Space and Recreation Commission is asking that town residents take the time to fill out this survey. The survey is being conducted to determine the needs and concerns of the citizens of Marblehead and so members can update the town's Open Space and Recreation Plan.
