Today is Wednesday, April 4, and here are the five things you need to know:

1. It should be another beautiful spring day in Marblehead. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect it to be sunny, with a high near 55. Tonight should be mostly clear, with a low around 38. (sunrise, 6:19 a.m.; high tide, 9:43 a.m.; low tide, 3:55 p.m.; sunset, 7:13 p.m.)

2. The Council on Aging recently secured grant funding to organize an "inter-generational garden" near Stramski Beach aimed at bringing together local seniors and students. Click here for the full story.

3. The Board of Health will meet tonight in the lower-level conference room of the Mary Alley Municipal Building on Widger Road. The meeting, scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., is expected to feature a discussion regarding two recently requested fowl permits, according to the posted agenda.
