1. It will be another beautiful spring day in Marblehead. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect it to be sunny, with a high near 54. 2. Marblehead High School's boys' varsity lacrosse team will take on Salem tonight under the lights at Piper Field. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and it should be a great night to take in a lacrosse game.
3. At their meeting Wednesday night, the town's Board of Selectmen unanimously approved naming the second week in August "Maritime Week" in preparation for Marblehead's first Maritime Festival, which is being organized in part by the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce. 4. Marblehead High School's boys' varsity baseball team will take on Winthrop this morning at Seaside Park. The game is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., so consider stopping by the cheer them on.
5. Today in History: On April 18, 1775, the British advancement by sea began and Paul Revere and other riders began warning the countryside of troop movements.
