Here is this week's list of five things to do in Marblehead. They are listed in no particular order:
Catch a Show: The Marblehead Little Theatre will be presenting Ragtime the Musical tomorrow night. The production has 17 lead actors, an orchestra of 40, and a chorus of 150. All proceeds benefit Healing Abuse Working for Change's domestic violence services. The show is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and ticket prices are $25, $50 and $75.
Check Out the JCC: Want to get the kids out of the house? The Jewish Community Center of the North Shore is hosting a Super Summer Fun Open House on Sunday. The event, which is free an open to the public, is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. No guest passes needed!
Stop By the Marblehead Maritime Room: The Marblehead Maritime Room is now open at Abbot Hall. Historical Commission Chair Chris Johnston was nice enough to offer a sneak peek at the room before the opening but it has come a long way since then. The room will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Relax on the Beach: The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect it to be a beautiful weekend in Marblehead, so be sure to get out there and enjoy it. Whether it be Devereux, Preston, Gas House or Riverhead Beach, grab a towel and catch some rays!
Hit the Farmers' Market: The Marblehead Farmers' Market will be held Saturday at Marblehead Veterans Middle School. The market will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will feature all the fruits, flowers and veggies you'll need to keep your family happy and healthy.
