5 Things to Do This Weekend

Here are Marblehead Patch's picks for five things to do this weekend.

The National Weather Service is predicting that it will be a pleasant fall weekend in Marblehead. So, here is a look at some fun ways to get out and enjoy the weather.

Here are Marblehead Patch's picks for the top five things to do in town this weekend.

Step Out in Your Pajamas - Don't be surprised if you see people out shopping in their pajamas Saturday morning. A host of local merchants are taking part in a "Pajama Party," which means customers dressed in nightgowns, bathrobes and jammies will get markdowns from 7 to 10 a.m. Participating stores include All Chic Boutique, Arabella Lingerie, Bus Stop, The Spirit of '76 Book Store, Babe, DS Designs, Hip Baby Gear, Marblehead Outfitters, MacKimmie Co., Mud Puddle Toys, Pawsitively Marblehead, Pint Size and Up, Wit & Whimsy Children's Bookstore, and Shipshape.

Cheer - Marblehead Youth Badminton is hosting the New England Junior Open at Marblehead High School Saturday. The tournament will feature more than 100 players from seven different states. Admission to the tournament is free, so consider stopping by to cheer them on.

Sniff Out a Deal - The Boston Yacht Club will be hosting "Harbor Holidays" this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event, which is open to the public, will offer "Holiday shopping at its best." Vendors include local artists and designers and include one of a kind jewelry, chic clothing, fine art, hand-crafted furniture, and soap and body care products.

Buy Local - There will be a Winter Farmers' Market Saturday morning at Marblehead Veterans Middle School. The market will open at 9 a.m., so consider stocking up on some fresh and local fruits and vegetables.

Catch a Flick - In the mood for a movie? As part of their Friday Night Flicks, the Marblehead Little Theatre will be showing The Princess Bride tonight at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5.
