There will be plenty to do in Marblehead this Memorial Day weekend - the following events are listed in no particular order.
Meet at the Mansion: The Marblehead Museum and Historical Society will host their 'Fun'draising Fling Saturday night at the Jeremiah Lee Mansion on Washington Street. The event is scheduled to run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and tickets are $45 for members, $55 for non-members.
Cheer: The 2012 MIAA state playoffs are in full swing and Marblehead High School's girls' varsity tennis team will take on Wakefield this afternoon. The matches are scheduled to begin at the high school at 3 p.m., so consider stopping by to cheer them on!
Catch a Show: Students from The Marblehead Community Charter Public School will be performing Beauty and the Beast Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids and free for seniors.
Say Goodbye to the Class of 2012: Marblehead High School's Class of 2012 will walk across the stage and into the next stage of their lives Sunday. The high school's annual graduation ceremony is scheduled to begin at the school's field house at 2 p.m.
Check Out a "Totally New Theatre": TNT! 2012, a play development retreat for writers produced by local playwright Shari D. Frost for the Marblehead Little Theatre, is returning for its fourth annual event on Saturday at 8 p.m. An evening of readings free to the public will be followed by the unique opportunity to meet the local and visiting playwrights and discuss their work. Space is first-come, first-served and doors will open at 7:30pm.
