Here is this week's list of five things to do in Marblehead. They are listed in no particular order:
Go Fly a Kite: The Marblehead Festival of Arts Kite Festival will be held at Devereux Beach Saturday. Check out this video gallery of last year's event.
Eat Some Ice Cream: The Marblehead Museum and Historical Society is hosting their annual Ice Cream Social in the garden of the Jeremiah Lee Mansion Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. Click here to view a gallery from last year's social.
Build a Sand Castle: The Marblehead Festival of Arts Sand Sculpture Competition will be held at Devereux Beach Saturday from 9:30 a.m to 1 p.m., so if you're free, consider stopping by to check out some cool sculptures - or even make one of your own.
Stop by Brush Strokes: Brush Strokes Open Studios and Art Gallery will host an open house this weekend as part of the Marblehead Festival of Arts. Area residents in town for the festival are invited to meet and chat with the studio's seven resident artists and visit Brush Strokes' gallery, which features a variety of locally-created paintings, calligraphy and photographs.
Hit the Farmers' Market: The Marblehead Farmers' Market will be held Saturday at Marblehead Veterans Middle School. The market will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will feature all the fruits, flowers and veggies you'll need to keep your family happy and healthy.
