Free and Open to the Public – Tai Chi and Qigong Class on the Beach!
Human Harmonies together with The United Martial Arts Center will offer a free Tai Chi and Qigong class on Devereux Beach in Marblehead on Wednesday, June 30 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. (weather permitting).
Tai Chi is an excellent form of exercise for stress relief and flexibility. It focuses on stretching and breathing exercises to move you towards balance. The movements that you learn in Tai Chi can be applied to how you carry yourself in other areas of your life. Qigong is an ancient Chinese system of exercise and meditation that makes the mind and spirit tranquil, improves physical stamina and strength, and cultivates health, well being and long life.
Both Qigong and Tai Chi are gentle and suitable for everyone. So you can practice Qigong and Tai Chi regardless of your age or physical ability. Both are low impact and focus on breathing and gentle, flowing movements.
Everyone is encouraged to attend. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes appropriate to the beach. No prior training or level of physical fitness is necessary.
